About this Project

Many historians label the 1960s as an "Era of Protest."  The three major protests of the time were women's movements, Civil Rights, and Vietnam.  Your task is to write a two page paper and create a poster board (20 X 30) on a protestor you have never heard of from this era (no MLK or Malcom X).  Proper MLA citation does apply and you must use proper grammar and puctuation.  A PowerPoint presentation will be give to review proper historical citation and you will have one class period to conduct your research in the library.  There are numerous protestors of this time; if you need suggestions please see Mr. Sousa, a parent, a grandparent or search a legitimate online source.  You must have one book source and two online sources.  Good luck!
